Meet Isis~ Hyde Park
A new statue was unveiled in Hyde Park, on the 7th September 2009, as part of a fundraising effort to build a new childrens education centre
Isis by "Simon Gudegon" represents the Egyptian Goddess of Motherhood
Who could take the form of a bird
It is Hyde Parks first new sculpture in 50 years...
The 633-kilo bronze sculpture was unveiled by the artist
and Joel Cadbury,president of the Royal Parks Foundation at it's home
on the south shore of The Serentine

The sculpture will raise money for an environmental education centre~
The Royal Parks Foundation has worked in partnership with Halcyon Gallery

I had a wondeful afternoon yesterday at Hyde park... the weather was warm and sunny
and the autmumn was in full glory .... Had lunch at the serpentine... later followed
by cream tea at the old teahouse... a truly lovely day full of treats... and
viewing this sculpture was the best treat of all 
Serpentine restaurant with lovely views
